S&C Fields Global Team to Advise Budweiser APAC in Hong Kong IPO

S&C advised Anheuser-Busch InBev and Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited in its USD $5.75 billion global offering and listing of shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This is the second-largest IPO of 2019 to date, as well as Hong Kong's highest-value IPO to date this year.

The S&C team that advised AB InBev and Budweiser APAC was based around the globe and led by corporate partners Frank Aquila in New York and John Horsfield-Bradbury in London, as well as Kay Ian Ng in Hong Kong. The team also included associates Alan Fishman, Emily Deddens, Lauren Pratt, Yilong Luo, Maria Lacayo, Max Chapman, Nitish Verma and William Ma. S&C tax partners Ron Creamer and Eric Wang provided tax advice, along with associates Michelle Lu and Andrew Motten. IP partner Nader Mousavi, special counsel Mark Schenkel and associate Matthew Rosenberg advised on intellectual property matters from the Palo Alto office.

Budweiser APAC is the largest beer company in Asia Pacific by retail sales value and one of the most profitable Asia-based beer companies. It produces, imports, markets, distributes and sells a portfolio of more than 50 beer brands, including Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona (licensed from AB InBev), along with local brands such as Cass, Great Northern, Harbin and Victoria Bitter. Its main markets are China, South Korea, India and Vietnam.
