Benchmark Litigation Names Four S&C Partners to its 2022 “40 & Under List”
August 5, 2022Dustin Guzior, Julia Malkina, Ann-Elizabeth Ostrager and Leonid Traps were named to Benchmark Litigation’s 2022 “40 & Under List.” The list recognizes the most impressive young lawyers in the United States and Canada in their respective fields.
Dustin Guzior is co-head of S&C’s Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation practice, focusing on trials and hearings, often involving intellectual property, technology, antitrust or complex commercial disputes. Dustin has played a leading role in many of S&C’s biggest recent technology-related cases, including serving as co-lead trial counsel to Columbia University in a nine-figure jury trial win and as co-lead trial counsel to Ocado in a complete five-patent defense victory before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Julia Malkina is co-head of S&C’s Securities Litigation practice. She joined the Firm after clerking at the U.S. Supreme Court and D.C. Circuit and serving in the Solicitor General’s Office. Julia has played a key role in some of the most closely watched securities cases in recent years, including Arkansas Teacher Retirement System v. Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., in which the Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in favor of S&C client Goldman Sachs, clarifying the standards for rebutting the “fraud-on-the-market” presumption of class-wide reliance established by the Court in Basic v. Levinson.
Ann-Elizabeth Ostrager is a partner in S&C’s Litigation Group, a member of the Firm’s Criminal Defense and Investigations Group and co-head of the Labor and Employment Law Group. She has a diverse practice, which includes regulatory and internal investigations, employment litigation, securities litigation, and representations of a number of individuals in criminal matters.
Lenny Traps is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Group. Lenny represents clients in federal and state civil litigations at the trial and appellate level, arbitrations, and investigations. Lenny has litigated a wide range of complex commercial matters, including securities, shareholder derivative, antitrust, contract, patent licensing, product liability, employment, banking, M&A and bankruptcy cases.
