S&C advised on three capital markets transactions that earned recognitions at the DealWatch Awards 2023:
- “Offshore Bond of the Year” — Rakuten Group’s $1.8 billion offering of senior notes due 2027
- “J-REIT Deal of the Year” — Industrial & Infrastructure Fund’s $324 million global equity offering
- “Innovative Equity Deal of the Year” — Softbank’s ¥120 billion issuance of Series 1 Bond-Type Class Shares
Also, S&C client Rakuten Group won “Equity Issuer of the Year.” S&C advised Rakuten Group in a follow-on equity offering in May 2023, and advised Rakuten Group, as selling shareholder, and Rakuten Bank, as issuer, in Rakuten Bank’s IPO in September 2023.
