The Firm issued a statement from Joe, Senior Chair Rodge Cohen, and S&C Co-Chairs Robert Giuffra Jr. and Scott Miller condemning the attacks on Israel. It is organizing donations via the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Israel Emergency Fund through the UJA Federation New York.
Joe also spearheaded a joint letter from law firm leaders in response to reports of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism and assaults on college campuses. Signed by more than 250 leading law firms and sent to law school deans on November 1, the letter urged schools to condemn anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism or any other form of violence, hatred or bigotry on campuses, in workplaces and communities. The letter was widely covered by news outlets including The Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board, The New York Times’ DealBook, The American Lawyer, Bloomberg, Reuters and more.
