Sarah Payne, the Managing Partner of Sullivan & Cromwell’s Palo Alto office, spoke with The Recorder about the recent move to larger office space in downtown Palo Alto, reflecting S&C’s commitment to its clients in technology and in Silicon Valley.
The new office, located at 550 Hamilton Avenue, is double the size of S&C’s previous office in Palo Alto, which opened in 2000. “This move gives us the opportunity to continue our growth and really strengthen our presence in the region,” Sarah told the publication.
Sarah, who is also co-head of S&C’s Capital Markets Groups, noted two of the office’s recent high-profile engagements: representing SoftBank Group, as selling shareholder, in the $5.23 billion IPO of semiconductor company Arm Holdings; and advising OpenAI in its multimillion-dollar partnership with Microsoft.
Palo Alto is a “really important office for Sullivan & Cromwell, having done countless groundbreaking technology transactions and litigations,” she said.
