HomeStreet, a Seattle-based diversified financial services company, agreed to merge with FirstSun Capital in a $286 million all-stock transaction. The deal is expected to create a premier regional bank with $17 billion in total assets and 129 branch locations throughout the Southwest, Southern California and the Pacific Northwest.
HomeStreet provides commercial banking products and services to small and medium-sized businesses, real estate investors and professional firms, and consumer banking products and services to individuals. FirstSun is a Denver-based financial holding company with a branch network in five states and mortgage capabilities in 43 states.
