S&C Advises Underwriters in Levi Strauss IPO

Levi Strauss & Co., the iconic American clothing company credited with inventing blue jeans, announced on March 21 completion of its initial public offering of 42.167 million shares of Class A common stock for a total offering size of $717 million. S&C, a leader in advising on transactions in the consumer and retail sector, advised the underwriters in the offering. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC served as joint lead book-running managers for the offering. BofA Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Evercore Group L.L.C. served as book-running managers. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Citigroup, Guggenheim Securities, LLC, HSBC Securities USA Inc., Drexel Hamilton, LLC, Telsey Advisory Group and The Williams Capital Group, L.P. served as co-managers.

Listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “LEVI,” the company was founded in San Francisco 166 years ago. Levi's designs, markets and sells jeans, casual wear and related accessories for men, women and children under the Levi's, Dockers, Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. and Denizen brands. Its products are sold in more than 110 countries worldwide.
