On July 27, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC and the OCC issued a proposal, often referred to as “Basel III Endgame,” that would result in significant changes to the regulatory capital rules in the United States for banking organizations with total consolidated assets of $100 billion or more. The Federal Reserve also proposed to revise the surcharge applicable to U.S. global systemically important banks.
