    Robert Giuffra, Matthew Schwartz and Brendan Hammond Co-Author Article on Recent Supreme Court Decisions Affecting US Securities Litigation

    S&C litigation partners Robert Giuffra and Matt Schwartz and associate Brendan Hammond co-authored an article titled, “Recent Supreme Court Decisions Complicate US Securities Litigation” in a Euromoney publication. In the article, the authors examined recent and then-pending decisions before the Court: Cyan, Inc. v Beaver Cty. Employees Ret. Fund, CaIPERS v. ANZ Securities and Lorenzo v. SEC. In summarizing the major points of Cyan and ANZ Securities, the authors concluded that the decisions will likely make U.S. securities litigation more inconvenient for defendants, particularly in Securities Act cases.
