Ben Weiner was a speaker at the 8th Annual Prudential Regulation Conference, hosted by SIFMA and the Bank Policy Institute. The conference, which was held on June 2 and 3, examined U.S. prudential regulation and its impact on U.S. capital markets functioning and liquidity during periods of stress, including the causes of volatility in market liquidity in March of last year. Ben’s panel, “Stress testing,” discussed the return to the stress capital buffer framework, as well as the plausibility of scenarios used for stress testing and transparency of supervisory projections.
