Gehuan Liu is a special counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell, focusing on capital markets with over a decade of experience in US securities work. She represents issuers and investment banks in a variety of equity, debt and equity-linked capital markets transactions, including primarily Hong Kong IPOs, private placement, privatization, standalone debt offerings and medium term note programs under Rule 144A/Regulation S. She has a focus on financial services, consumer and healthcare, TMT, energy and resources, infrastructure and construction sectors and has advised on some of the milestone transactions in the Hong Kong IPO market. Prior to joining Sullivan & Cromwell, Ms. Liu worked for a leading international law firm in its Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. Prior to moving into private practice, Ms. Liu worked as a research fellow in the National University of Singapore focusing on international economics laws.
