Rebecca Simmons, a partner in S&C’s Financial Services and Capital Markets Groups, was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys. The College recognizes lawyers who have achieved preeminence in commercial finance law and have made substantial contributions to learning and scholarship in the field. Fellows are nominated by the College’s Fellows Nominating Committee, endorsed by the Executive Committee and formally elected by the Board of Regents.
Ms. Simmons is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Financial Services and Capital Markets Groups, Head of its Payments Practice and Co-Head of its FinTech Practice. She represents payments, clearing and other financial technology businesses, including in the use of blockchain in financial services, and in insolvency related matters, including resolution planning. In addition to transactional and advisory matters, she regularly represents industry groups in analyzing and responding to regulatory proposals affecting financial services industries.
