Frank Aquila has been named a “Notable Nonprofit Board Leader” by Crain’s New York Business for his years of service to educational and nonprofit organizations.
Under Frank’s leadership as Chair of Brooklyn Law School’s Board of Trustees, the law school recruited David Meyer as its new President and Dean this year, implemented a new Associate Dean for Inclusion & Diversity and refocused fundraising efforts through the creation of the Chief Advancement Officer position. An alumnus of Brooklyn Law School, Frank has served on the board since 2008 and was elected Chair in 2019, after serving as Vice Chair.
In addition, Frank has served on the board of the American Associates of the National Theatre since 2015 and has been an active member of the board of The NALP Foundation for Law Career Research and Education since 2005, presiding as its Chair from 2010 to 2012. He continues to serve on the board of Dress for Success and has volunteered with other nonprofit boards as well as with boards and committees of organizations related to the legal profession.
