Gwen Wong, the Managing Partner of S&C’s Beijing Office, was recognized in ALB’s 2023 China Dealmakers list. The ranking highlights the “outstanding lawyers who demonstrate comprehensive legal expertise, business acumen and practical problem-solving skills.”
In the past year, Gwen has advised clients in a variety of strategic transactions, including China Mengniu Dairy’s privatization of Yashili and its approximately HK$114.2 million subscription for shares in Greatview Aseptic Packaging Company Limited. She also advised Taiwan Cement Corporation in its share purchase and restructuring agreement with Ordu Yardimlasma Kurumu and led the team on its concurrent offering of $420 million currency-linked zero coupon green convertible bonds (Green CB) and $384 million global depositary shares (GDS), marking the largest concurrent CB and GDS transaction in Asia over the past two years. This is also the first equity-linked transaction by a Taiwanese company issued under a Green Financing Framework that adheres to international market standards.
