Sullivan & Cromwell partner Sergio Galvis has been inducted into the Lawdragon Hall of Fame. The recognition honors outstanding lawyers who have left an indelible mark on the legal profession. Lawdragon has previously inducted S&C Senior Chairs Joe Shenker and Rodge Cohen, as well as John Bostelman, into its Hall of Fame, and honored the late partner Alexandra Korry with a special commemoration.
Sergio leads S&C’s Latin America practice, oversees the Firm’s recruiting function and is a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. Throughout his career he has demonstrated both a breadth and depth of expertise across numerous practices and sectors. Much of Sergio’s practice is focused in Latin America, and Latin Lawyer has described him as “the most prominent name in an M&A practice that is one of the region’s most prestigious, seen repeatedly on multibillion dollar deals which tend to have layers of complexity.” Beyond Latin America, Sergio has worked with clients in dozens of countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas on hundreds of significant matters involving M&A, project financing, capital markets, sovereign financing, workouts and restructurings, corporate governance, crisis management, investigations and disputes.
