Adam Paris has been named a “Litigation Trailblazer” by
The National Law Journal. The Trailblazers series spotlights lawyers who are agents of change.
The Los Angeles partner has delivered successful results for clients in some of S&C’s highest-stakes antitrust and competition cases. Recently, he took the reins as lead trial lawyer in a
crucial court battle for Pabst Blue Ribbon, which ended in a settlement favorable to his client. He also secured a series of dismissals in securities and antitrust litigation, including:
- of a price-fixing suit against FXI Holdings related to assets purchased in a bankruptcy auction;
- of a derivative suit on behalf of seven independent directors of LendingClub; and
- of multidistrict antitrust litigation involving an alleged conspiracy to fix prices of packaged tuna products.
Adam told
The National Law Journal that, although he has a math and science background, he chose to pursue antitrust and competition litigation. “It was a great combination of the theoretical and practical, and has a concrete impact on people.”
