Nicole Friedlander, a partner and co-head of S&C’s cybersecurity practice, has been named to Cybersecurity Docket’s “Incident Response 30” for 2019. This list honors 30 of the “best and brightest data breach response lawyers in the business” based on nominations from other professionals in the field. Cybersecurity Docket noted that those recognized have established themselves as the “first call” for companies dealing with a cyberattack or other data security incident.
S&C’s cybersecurity group advises clients on cybersecurity governance and risk mitigation, and on responding to cybersecurity incidents when they occur. The group includes former officials from the Justice Department, including Nicole, who was Chief of the Complex Frauds and Cybercrime Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. The group also includes former officials from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, including those who regularly worked on cybersecurity, cybercrime and regulatory enforcement issues in those roles.
