Scott Miller, S&C’s Co-Chair, discussed his expectations for corporate activity leading into 2024 with Bloomberg Law. Scott said we are already seeing increased activity in M&A and capital markets, adding that asset management and technology are poised for higher volumes in the first half of the year, particularly around AI.
“There’s going to be a lot of M&A and capital markets activity around the peripheries of AI,” he said. “There are a whole bunch of companies out there that have a piece of AI or have an AI story to tell, and there are going to be aggregators of those businesses to try and create a larger AI platform.”
