Werner Federico Ahlers, Co-Head of S&C’s Latin America Practice, and Jessica Klein, Head of Pro Bono, spoke with Latin Lawyer about the Firm’s deep commitment to pro bono in Latin America following S&C’s inclusion on Latin Lawyer 250’s inaugural ‘International Elite’ list.
In the article, Werner discussed how having deep relationships with clients and local firms is integral to finding meaningful pro bono matters. “Keeping the channels of communication open with firms you have relationships with is a great way to explore potential opportunities and ensure that pro bono efforts in the region are bearing fruit,” said Werner.
Jessica noted that when “there’s a crisis or humanitarian issue, having that ongoing relationship” enables us “to act effectively.”
