Senior M&A Partner Frank Aquila spoke with the Financial Times about the state of global M&A activity, which has slowed in the first nine months of 2022. Due to the strength of the U.S. dollar, U.S. dealmakers may turn to cross-border transactions and buy cheap assets in the U.K. and Europe.
“As the global economy has been hit by serious headwinds, M&A activity has been a prime casualty. Interest in consolidation continues in many sectors so we are busy, but getting deals across the finish line at the moment is truly challenging,” said Frank.
