On April 12, Ryne Miller and Rich Le Page, together with Rich Tao (Vice President of Joe Tsai’s family office) and Jeff Gewirtz (COO, EVP and GC of Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment), led a lecture for Professor Amy Chua’s International Business Transactions class at Yale Law School. The panel discussed interesting legal issues relating to Joe Tsai’s acquisitions of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, the growing world of blockchain and non-fungible tokens (including NBA Top Shot) and the effects of increasing globalization and COVID-19 on the sports world.
