    Bank Regulatory Landscape: Rodge Cohen, Mitch Eitel and Michael Wiseman  to Speak at The Clearing House & Bank Policy Institute’s 2019 Annual Conference

    The bank regulatory landscape has evolved rapidly in the past decade. This change will bring challenges but also create opportunities in the next year and beyond.
     
    Join S&C partners Rodge Cohen, Mitch Eitel and Michael Wiseman at The Clearing House (TCH) and The Bank Policy Institute’s (BPI) 2019 Annual Conference, the premier gathering for senior financial services executives, regulators, policymakers and academics to address challenges and opportunities for the industry, taking place November 19-21 in New York City.

    Mitch and Michael will moderate two panels at the conference. Mitch will moderate the panel “Outside Perspectives on the Banking Industry,” discussing how banks are restructuring in response to new regulations, technological advances, consumer demand and new competition. Michael will moderate the “Regulatory Agency General Counsel Panel,” where general counsel from the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC and CFPB will discuss the current regulatory environment. Rodge will join FDIC chairman Jelena McWilliams in a Q&A session.

    Mitch Eitel 
    Mitch Eitel is Managing Partner of our Financial Services Group and a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. He has a broad multi-disciplinary practice covering the needs of our financial services clients, focusing largely on mergers and acquisitions as well as governance and other corporate, securities and regulatory aspects of transactions. In addition to transactional work, Mitch works with our financial services clients on a wide range of regulatory and enforcement matters. Law360 has noted that Mitch “has for years been one of the banking bar’s preeminent voices.”

    Michael Wiseman
    Michael Wiseman has a long history of advising global financial institutions on their largest transactions and their most sensitive regulatory matters. Michael represents a broad range of financial firms, including domestic and international commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies and rating agencies. His practice encompasses regulatory and enforcement issues, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, payment system issues, cybersecurity, and corporate governance and counseling.
