S&C litigators Steve Holley, Judd Littleton and Jeff Scott were among the honorees at the National Law Journal Legal Awards on October 30. Jeff received a Winning Litigators award, and Judd was named one of D.C.’s Rising Stars.
NLJ highlighted some of S&C’s major pro bono victories in a profile of the practice, including its representation of Success Academy Charter Schools in its battle to provide Pre-K classes free from intrusive oversight by the New York City Department of Education. S&C litigation partner Steve Holley, who was the lead lawyer on the Success Academy case, explained: “Pro bono work is a core value of S&C. Some of my most-gratifying work has been on pro bono cases where we provide Sullivan & Cromwell’s signature excellence to clients who otherwise could not afford that level of legal representation.”
Winning Litigator Jeff Scott was singled out for his role as lead trial counsel in a complete victory for Barclays.
