On January 24, Sullivan & Cromwell hosted the event Tax Cuts and Jobs Act: Looking Forward in our New York office. The event allowed senior tax professionals and business decision-makers to engage in strategic conversations about the business changes necessary to respond to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, through a series of self-contained sessions led by S&C tax partners. Participation was encouraged, with an aim toward identifying, describing and resolving live issues regarding regulatory language and bespoke problem-solving. The sessions covered topics such as BEAT, foreign tax credit, 163(j) and 199A. Ron Creamer, David Hariton, Jeff Hochberg, Andy Mason, David Spitzer, Davis Wang, Eric Wang and Isaac Wheeler all took part in the event.
