S&C Advises Bayer in $66 Billion Acquisition of Monsanto

S&C represents Bayer in its acquisition of Monsanto (U.S.) for $128 per share in an all-cash transaction with an aggregate value of $66 billion. This transaction is the largest ever all-cash takeover of a public company, the largest ever acquisition of an American company by a foreign buyer, and the largest ever M&A transaction by a German company. 

Bayer is a Germany-based global life science company and a leader in the fields of health care and agriculture. The merger of the two complementary companies, which will provide enhanced solutions for growers, is the largest M&A transaction of 2016.
