S&C Wins Human Rights First’s Frankel Award for Representation of Asylum Applicants

October 25, 2010

S&C has been awarded Human Rights First’s 2010 Frankel Award for its pro bono work on behalf of asylum applicants. The award was announced at an awards dinner on October 21 at Pier Sixty in New York City.

The Frankel Award is named for Judge Marvin Frankel, who helped found Human Rights First. Under his leadership, Human Rights First developed a nationally recognized pro bono program through which lawyers in New York and Washington represent more than 1,000 refugees from more than 80 countries in their asylum proceedings.
