S&C Senior Chair Rodge Cohen was profiled in the most recent issue of Bank Director. The cover article, “The Indispensable Advisor,” surveys Rodge's distinguished career as “the dean of U.S. banking lawyers.” As the article notes: “[H]e has advised on 13 of the 20 largest bank acquisitions in U.S. history and played important roles in every major (and minor) banking crisis since the mid-1970s.”

Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson called Rodge “the iconic banking lawyer. He knows the industry cold and has unparalleled personal relationships throughout the banking ecosystem at large, where he is liked and admired by virtually everyone.”

Richard Davis, the former chairman and CEO of U.S. Bancorp, added: “In my professional life, no one was there at the time I needed them more, with his unique insight and wisdom, than Rodge.” The article also noted the “deep bench of talented lawyers behind Cohen.” This year, Law360 named S&C's Banking Practice as one of its Practice Groups of the Year.
