S&C Partner Julie Jordan and Associate Antonia Stamenova-Dancheva Author Article on Whistleblower Protections

S&C litigation partner Julie Jordan, co-head of the Firm’s Whistleblower Litigation and Workplace Investigations Group, has authored an article with litigation associate Antonia Stamenova-Dancheva on legal developments affecting whistleblower protections. The article, “Market Trends 2019/20: Whistleblower Protections,” was published in Lexis Practice Advisor.

Julie and Antonia offer practical information on regulatory and other legal developments over the last year affecting whistleblower protections.  They explore the arbitrability of whistleblower retaliation claims under the Dodd-Frank Act, the higher standard for sophisticated employees to establish the “objectively reasonable belief” element of a Sarbanes-Oxley retaliation claim, recent Administrative Review Board decisions clarifying the limits of the Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower protections and proposed amendments to the SEC’s Whistleblower Rules, among other topics.
