Aisling O’Shea, together with associate Nicholas Brechbill, authored a
Law360 article titled “Key Developments in 2019 Anti-Corruption Enforcement.” The article examines the important events of 2019 on the anti-corruption front and explains their significance. Key developments the authors point to include increased cooperation between U.S. enforcement agencies and their foreign partners; the CFTC’s decision to begin investigating violations of the Commodity Exchange Act relating to foreign corruption; and a dramatic uptick in trials resulting in FCPA convictions.
