Inosi Nyatta speaks to us about her award-winning work for Cheniere Energy on its landmark $6.1 billion term loan, used to expand its Corpus Christi LNG liquefaction export project. This deal supported Inosi’s recognition as a Project Finance MVP by Law360 and a Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer.
In the episode, Inosi discusses how the Cheniere deal came about, as well as unique challenges that were posed by shifts in the commodities market and how the financing structure has become a precedent for financing LNG projects. She also speaks to the ways in which S&C’s Project Development & Finance practice was particularly well-positioned for this deal, due in part to its sponsor/borrower focus.
Inosi Nyatta is co-head of the Firm’s global Project Development & Finance practice, and advises clients on a broad range of financing transactions, including project financings, capital markets offerings and cross-border financings. In addition to her landmark Cheniere deal, she has worked with Cameron LNG on its development in Louisiana and Australia Pacific LNG on its $8.5 billion project financing for its groundbreaking development in Queensland. She also assists clients in the renewables and other power sector.
