S&C Advises Canadian Pacific on Announced Acquisition of Kansas City Southern

Canadian Pacific Railway Limited’s announced agreement to acquire Kansas City Southern signals confidence in the industrial sector as companies across the globe begin to move past the pandemic. The deal will also create the first rail network connecting the United States, Mexico and Canada. The combined company, named Canadian Pacific Kansas City, will have an enterprise value of $86 billion, operate approximately 20,000 miles of rail and employ more than 20,000 people. 

As counsel to Canadian Pacific, S&C assembled a multi-disciplinary team to work with the client on this complex multijurisdictional project.
