S&C is advising Netherlands-based holding company Exor in its agreement to sell PartnerRe to France’s Covéa for $9 billion.
Exor acquired reinsurer PartnerRe in 2016, and has worked with its management team to grow its business and create a sizable presence in life and health reinsurance. Following the acquisition by Covéa, PartnerRe will enter the top tier of reinsurers worldwide measured by its balance sheet.
