Renata Hesse, S&C partner and co-head of the Firm’s Antitrust Group, spoke on a panel entitled, “Annual Review of Hot Topics and Developments” at the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Law and Corporate Counsel Section on January 30, 2020.
Renata was joined by fellow panelists Elai Katz, Esq., of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP and Rebecca Fair of the Analysis Group, Inc. Their discussion included trends and developments to watch in the antitrust field in the upcoming year, including considerations on vertical and ongoing mergers, labor markets, and competition law in digital platforms.
A leading antitrust lawyer and former top Justice Department antitrust official, Renata is also the International Officer of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section, overseeing the Section’s international advocacy. She is a frequent speaker at antitrust and legal forums both domestically and abroad, most recently speaking at The Chillin’ Competition in Brussels, and at a conference co-hosted by the China Institute of International Antitrust and Investment and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Beijing.
