Donald Korb and Andrew Solomon Co-author Tax Journal Article on the Potential Impact of Trump Election on Tax Policy

November 18, 2016

On November 18, Tax Journal published an article by Donald Korb and Andrew Solomon titled “What Donald Trump’s election means for US tax policy.” The article noted that comprehensive tax reform is very likely now that Republicans control both the White House and Congress. However, it explained that all of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed changes to tax policy must pass through the House of Representatives. Any tax bill ultimately proposed by the House will likely comprise of a mix of Trump’s proposals and of provisions from the Republican Blueprint for tax reform. “Those who have been waiting many years for comprehensive tax reform to occur may at last see it happen. And tax advisers all over the world will need to pay attention,” Donald and Andrew concluded.
