In its recently published October-December 2007 issue, N°04, p. 713 et seq., Revue des sociétés, published an article entitled "Public policy and mandatory provisions. Implications of penally sanctioned provisions in corporate law", authored by François Barrière. This article discusses, among other things, the impact of violations of penally sanctioned provisions on the validity of corporate law decisions, and the French securities regulator's characterization of its regulation as public policy rules.
