On September 23, S&C Litigation partner Nic Bourtin participated in the Practising Law Institute’s annual event, “White Collar Crime 2020: Prosecutors and Regulators Speak.” Nic’s panel, “FCPA and Anti-Corruption Investigations and Enforcement,” explored the latest developments in anti-bribery investigations and enforcement; the implications of COVID-19 for FCPA investigations; and insights on self-reporting, cooperation and remediation. The panel also included Charles E. Cain, Chief of the SEC’s FCPA Unit; Christopher Cestaro, Chief of the DOJ’s FCPA Unit; and David C. Pitluck, Deputy Chief of the Business and Securities Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Kara Brockmeyer from Debevoise & Plimpton was the moderator.
