SULLIVAN & CROMWELL LLP Partner Marc R. Trevino was quoted in an article in The American Lawyer on recent and expectedlegislation affecting executive compensation. Mr. Trevino, who represents many financial institutions affected by the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP), suggested that many more companies will "undoubtedly" adopt rules similar to current TARP provisions on executive compensation that ban participating companies from making excessive parachute payments or granting incentive packages that encourage unnecessary and excessive risks.
