S&C Partner John Savva Discusses the 2019 IPO Pipeline Forecast with S&P Global

May 3, 2019

John Savva, managing partner of S&C's Palo Alto office, spoke with S&P Global for the article titled “Recession fears likely not delaying big US IPOs in 2019.” The central question of the article is summarized by John: “There are always these macroeconomic concerns. What's going to happen to the economy? Will the IPO window stay open? Will there be developments on the trade front that adversely impact the economy?" Speaking from his own experience advising companies considering when and whether to go private, John answers, “I actually have not seen an acceleration of those concerns for the past couple of months. The issues we've seen recently have not been overall market issues, but company-specific issues.”  John recently represented the underwriters in the Levi Strauss & Co. $717 million initial public offering.
