Rodgin Cohen Discusses Financial Regulation Under the Trump Administration on Bloomberg Daybreak: Americas
January 23, 2017On January 23, Rodgin Cohen appeared on Bloomberg Daybreak: Americas in a segment titled “Rodgin Cohen on Financial Regulation.” Rodgin discussed which regulatory changes would make the most significant changes to bank performance. “Anti-money laundering is the single biggest user of expenditure and personnel, and if we could move promptly to an AML utility for the banking industry, it would not only significantly reduce burden, it would create a better program for catching the bad guy,” Rodgin said. He addressed other ways the Trump administration could affect financial regulation, such as through a review of the Volcker Rule and through the appointment of new leadership of the regulatory and enforcement entities.
