Frank Aquila Discusses American Apparel’s Ex-CEO on Bloomberg Markets

May 13, 2015

On May 13, Mr. Aquila appeared on Bloomberg Business' Bloomberg Markets to discuss American Apparel's allegations against its former CEO, Dov Charney. Discussing the company's attempts to protect Charney from such allegations when he was with the company, Mr. Aquila said, “Ultimately, the responsibility rests with the board, and the board has to make a determination based upon the facts that it has. I'm sure at the time, they were told by Dov Charney… that these allegations were baseless. What clearly happened was that the evidence mounted, and they did their internal investigations, and made a decision that he needed to go, because the company has to provide a non-hostile work environment.”
