On July 21, Mr. Aquila was a guest on Bloomberg Radio's Taking Stock. Mr. Aquila discussed recent M&A activity with Jeff McCracken, Bloomberg News Global M&A managing editor, and Taking Stock anchors Pimm Fox and Carol Massar. Mr. Aquila made the point that not only is there a constant flow of multi-billion dollar deals, but both cross-border deals and hostile bids. He characterized the current M&A market as one that has “broad shoulders and sharp elbows.” They also discussed what to expect for the rest of the year. Mr. Aquila said that based upon what he is seeing, “the second half should be as busy, and possibly busier, than the first half.”
