Matthew Schwartz Discusses Securities Litigation Trends with Corporate Disputes

S&C litigation partner Matthew Schwartz contributed to an article in Corporate Disputes in its April–June 2019 issue about recent trends shaping securities litigation and enforcement. “Over the past 12 to 18 months, litigation arising from the 2007–2008 financial crisis has largely wound down, bringing to end a decades' worth of securities lawsuits,” Matt wrote. He explained that although securities enforcement and litigation against financial institutions “continues to be robust,” regulators are also now looking at internet and biotech companies with increasing focus.
