Mr. Friedman also counsels clients on cybercrime risks and other strategic and operational business matters.
Mr. Friedman previously served as New York State Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Chief of Investigations for the New York State Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. In his role, Mr. Friedman led the investigative effort to probe systemic public corruption in the New York State political system, including pay-to-play arrangements, campaign finance violations, and self-dealing. Mr. Friedman also served in the Office of Governor Andrew Cuomo as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary for Public Safety. As the senior aide to New York State's top public safety official, Mr. Friedman handled state operations, assisted in the formulation and management of the state’s cybersecurity initiatives, and assisted in the oversight of a $4 billion budget supporting eight state agencies, including the New York State Police, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, Division of Military and Naval Affairs, Department of Corrections and Division of Criminal Justice Services.
Mr. Friedman served as chair of the Advisory Board of the Friends of Mount Sinai, a 100-plus person philanthropic leadership group supporting the Mount Sinai Health System, the largest private hospital system in New York City.
