Jonathan Ossip is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Group. His practice includes a broad range of litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels of state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Jonathan’s experience includes representations of clients in an array of industries, with a focus on complex commercial litigation and regulatory disputes. He also maintains an extensive pro bono practice, with representations in criminal post-conviction proceedings and in constitutional law, including cases regarding equal protection, due-process rights, and freedom of speech.


  • Represents the Republic of Argentina in litigation brought by various hedge funds relating to GDP-linked securities the Republic issued in 2005 and 2010.
  • Represents a foreign bank and its affiliates in responding to allegations of conspiracy to manipulate certain interest rate benchmarks sometimes used to price swaps, currency-based instruments and foreign exchange derivatives.
  • Represented Fiat Chrysler in various actions regarding allegations that certain of FCA’s diesel vehicles emitted nitrogen oxides in excess of the limits imposed by U.S. law. Work has included class action litigation and litigation with regulators including the EPA and the Department of Justice.
  • Represented Barclays in class actions and investigations by various world-wide authorities and regulators concerning the LIBOR interest rate benchmark.
  • Represented M&T Bank and various individuals in a putative class action in the Western District of New York alleging violations of ERISA through purportedly underperforming 401(k) investment options.
