PartnerWilliam Torchiana joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1986 and has been a partner in the Firm’s Financial Services Group since 1995. He has broad-based experience in transactional and regulatory matters involving international and domestic insurance and reinsurance companies and other financial institutions. In addition to domestic and cross-border corporate finance transactions, Mr. Torchiana has advised a number of foreign financial institutions on their acquisitions of U.S. and non-U.S. insurers and reinsurers.
Mr. Torchiana was the managing partner of the Firm’s Paris office from 2004-2018.
