Sean M. MemonAssociate
Sean Memon is a member of Sullivan & Cromwell’s Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance & Lending and Financial Services groups. Mr. Memon has substantial experience advising corporate and financial institution clients in a wide variety of corporate governance, regulatory and transactional matters, including with respect to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and the development of new products. He also has represented dealers and corporate clients in structuring and negotiating a broad range of swaps and other derivatives, including equity, interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity swaps, options and forwards.
Mr. Memon regularly advises clients in dealings with government agencies, including federal and state bank regulatory agencies, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Treasury Department and the Commerce Department. He also has represented several nonbank financial companies in various stages of the Financial Stability Oversight Council’s nonbank systemically important financial institution designation process.
Prior to joining S&C, Mr. Memon worked in investment banking and in the mergers and acquisitions group at a leading media and communications company.
