Bob Craft is a Senior Counsel in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office, and was the managing partner of the office from 1987 to 2006.

During the course of his career, Mr. Craft represented underwriters, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan Securities, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, UBS Securities and Merrill Lynch, on virtually all the securities offerings in the U.S. and global capital markets by the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank and on more than 750 securities offerings by Fannie Mae. He has also advised on numerous securities offerings by International Finance Corporation, Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF), Federal Home Loan Banks and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

Mr. Craft has guided international financial institutions on their initial entries into the U.S. capital markets and has advised on a wide range of securities offerings in the U.S. and international capital markets by corporate and governmental issuers.

Before beginning his career as a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell, he served as special assistant to Carlyle E. Maw, undersecretary of state for security assistance, from 1974-1976 and as executive assistant to Roderick M. Hills, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, in 1976.

He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Jamie. They have two sons: Tiger, who is associated with a hedge fund in London, and Gerard, a restaurant chef/owner in St. Louis, Missouri.
