Maura E. MillerSpecial Counsel
Maura Miller is a member of the Firm’s Litigation and Criminal Defense and Investigations groups. She has worked on a variety of commercial litigation matters, white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations.
She has in-depth experience representing U.S. and non-U.S. corporations and financial institutions in state, federal and international investigations and proceedings involving allegations of Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions violations, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities fraud and money laundering violations.
She is admitted to practice before the Second Circuit, the New York State courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the Northern District of Florida.
Government Service and Community Involvement
Ms. Miller clerked for the Honorable Robert E. Gerber, United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York, from 2003 to 2004. In addition, from 1997-2000, she worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Inspector General’s Office.
She has been member of the board of directors of the Judges and Lawyer’s Breast Cancer Alert since 2013, and was co-chair of their 2017 annual dinner.
Ms. Miller is also a member of the board of directors of Smarthistory.
