Jessica Klein is the Firm’s Head of Pro Bono Practice and has led the Firm’s pro bono program since August 2011. In addition to overseeing the Firm’s broad array of pro bono matters and initiatives, Ms. Klein maintains an active docket of cases in many areas of public interest law, including asylum, domestic violence, education law and civil rights. Ms. Klein is active in the Firm’s efforts to expand access to justice and serves as Counsel to The New York State Permanent Commission on Access to Justice.
Prior to leading the Firm’s pro bono program, Ms. Klein’s practice at the Firm focused on commercial litigation, including securities, employment, banking and contract disputes. Ms. Klein has represented Anheuser-Busch InBev, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Philips, The Clearing House Association L.L.C. and Vornado Realty Trust, among others, in complex litigation and arbitration matters. She has also represented the New York City Council in an investigation of the funding of nonprofit organizations.
