Daniel Dunson joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1971, was a partner from 1979 through 2009 and is now Senior Counsel. He was the coordinator of the Firm’s securities law practice and co-coordinator of the Firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice. He represented U.S. and non-U.S. financial institutions and a wide variety of non-financial companies in connection with a broad range of debt and equity finance transactions both within and outside the United States, including offerings by corporate and sovereign issuers as well as major restructurings of companies in financial difficulty. He also advised numerous clients on a broad range of finance, securities, corporate and regulatory matters. Mr. Dunson has been recognized as a leading lawyer in many publications and surveys, including, among others, The Best Lawyers in America.
